Position Insight
A well-established organization in Bahrain is seeking a professional HSE Safety Officer to ensure a safe and compliant working environment across construction sites. This role is best suited for individuals who are committed to workplace safety and risk prevention.
You will actively monitor site activities, guide workers on safety practices, and ensure all operations meet industry regulations and standards.
Workplace Responsibilities
- Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and legal regulations
- Monitor proper use of PPE and safety equipment
- Inspect site areas to identify hazards and unsafe practices
- Supervise safety during high-risk activities like lifting and working at height
- Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures
- Maintain safety documentation and reports
- Organize safety drills and training sessions
- Prepare risk assessments and job safety analysis (JSA)
- Manage Permit to Work (PTW) procedures
- Support audits and ensure HSE records are up to date
- Conduct safety inductions for new workers
Professional Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety-related role
- Educational background in safety management or similar field
- Certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are preferred
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate safety instructions clearly
