Your Role Within the Finance Department
As a Senior Accountant, you will play an important role in maintaining the organization's financial stability by overseeing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes are managed efficiently.
The successful candidate will work closely with management while supporting financial planning, compliance, audit preparation, and day-to-day accounting activities.
Main Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
- Maintain accurate accounting records.
- Manage general ledger transactions.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Review financial data.
- Ensure accounting accuracy.
Accounts Receivable & Payable
You will oversee customer collections and supplier payments while maintaining strong financial controls.
- Monitor customer receivables.
- Process supplier payments.
- Perform account reconciliations.
- Resolve payment discrepancies.
- Maintain aging reports.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly financial reports.
- Support year-end financial statements.
- Assist during audits.
- Ensure IFRS compliance.
- Maintain accurate financial documentation.
Closing Activities
- Support month-end closing.
- Assist with year-end closing.
- Review ledger balances.
- Prepare reconciliation reports.
- Verify financial transactions.
Educational Qualifications
The company is seeking qualified accounting professionals with strong academic backgrounds.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Master's Degree is an advantage.
- B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance, or CA Inter qualifications are accepted.
Experience Required
Candidates should possess practical experience in corporate accounting and financial management.
- Minimum 4 years of accounting experience.
- Experience as a Senior Accountant.
- Background in contracting or construction companies is beneficial.
- Previous Chartered Accountant firm experience will be considered an added advantage.
